A. New Platform Architecture
The new platform architecture strengthens the technical foundation of Mapscape, supporting improved performance, scalability and long-term reliability as more customers, features and arboricultural workflows are added.
B. Automated Excel Spreadsheet Upgrade
Improved Excel spreadsheet outputs help users produce clearer, more consistent reports with less manual formatting, supporting faster delivery, better presentation with easier review by clients and duty holders.
C. Structural Tree Risk Assessment and Tracking Analysis – STRATA TM
STRATA™ provides a structured world class approach to tree risk assessment, helping users capture evidence, prioritise works, track actions and demonstrate a clearer duty-holder audit trail.
D. Copy Attributes – (Replicate Trees, Group(s) of Trees, and Hedges)
Simply copy a tree record, paste it to position and edit where required. This helps reduce repetitive data entry, making everyday tree survey workflows faster, more practical and easier for users on site.
E. Tree Canopy Growth Projections Mathematical Science Project
Ongoing tree canopy growth modelling supports Mapscape’s longer-term aim of visualising with a time slider, tree canopy development and carbon-related outputs into more informed planning and management decisions.

A. Integration of What3Words (W3W)
W3W integration helps office teams, field surveyors, clients and sub-contractors identify precise locations more easily, reducing confusion when finding individual trees, assets or site features.
B. Multifactor authentication (MFA).
Multifactor Authentication provides an added layer of protection for Mapscape users, supporting safer access to arboricultural records, client data, survey information and organisational workflows.
C. Educational Digital Research
The digital research internship helps Mapscape engage with education providers, understand future digital arboricultural skills needs and support the wider transition towards modern, GIS-based arboricultural training.
D. Digital Dashboard
The digital dashboard is designed to give users an integrative clear visual overview of tree survey projects, filtered by priorities and tree management information without relying solely on static reports.
E. UK and Ireland Location Identifier
A UK and Ireland location identifier improves geographic search and positioning, helping users locate sites more efficiently and support focussed project setup across different regions.
F. Tree Canopy Growth Projections – Mathematical Science Project
Further academic development of canopy growth projections discussions are in place to support comparative high level data modelling projects, to support the BS 5837: 2012 revision and help understand how tree assets change over time, in relation to real world parameters supported by proven by validation and scientific method.

A. Esri Credit Management
Esri credit management will help users better understand and control platform usage, supporting more transparent administration, cost awareness and confidence for business and IT decision makers.
B. DXF Georeferencing Tool
The DXF georeferencing tool will help align CAD-based information with mapped survey data, improving spatial accuracy and supporting better integration between drawings and GIS workflows.
C. DXF Import and Export
DXF import and export will improve data transfer between Mapscape, CAD users, consultants and project teams, supporting smoother collaboration across planning, design and arboricultural workflows.
D. Import Drone Images
Drone image import will help users bring aerial site context into Mapscape, supporting clearer visual assessment, improved communication and better understanding of larger or more complex sites.
E. Tree Canopy Growth Projections – Mathematical Science
Validation of canopy growth projections is intended to strengthen confidence in the modelling approach, supporting more defensible outputs for carbon, canopy cover and long-term tree management.
